To the Shiloh Community:
Over the past several weeks, the Shiloh Board and Executive Director Greg Merriweather have been engaged in thoughtful conversations about Shiloh’s future and how best to position it for long-term impact. Through that process of mutual discernment, we have come to the shared conclusion that now is the right time for us to part ways.
Like many nonprofits in this moment, Shiloh is navigating significant economic challenges and re-evaluating how we steward our resources to sustain the mission for years to come. As part of this process, the board has determined that a different leadership structure is needed for the next chapter of Shiloh’s work.
We are deeply grateful to Greg for the heart and vision he has brought to our work during his time with us. We part ways on good terms and with great respect for his ongoing ministry and leadership in the Harlem community, and we look forward to opportunities to collaborate in new ways in the future.
During this transition, the board will appoint a volunteer leadership team to oversee operations and help advance our mission. We are pleased to share that Jason Isbell, a longtime and devoted member of the Shiloh community, will chair this team while also joining the Shiloh Board of Directors.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Jason via email at Jason@shilohnyc.org.
Blessings,
Shiloh Board of Directors
